Refund Policy

**Important:** Tickket is a technology platform, not an event organizer. Our ability to process refunds depends on the status of funds (Settled vs. Unsettled).

1. General Rule (FCCPA Compliant)

Under the **Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act**, you are entitled to a refund if:

  • The event is cancelled.
  • The event is "significantly different" from what was advertised.
  • You were denied entry despite having a valid ticket.

2. Who Pays the Refund?

Before Settlement

If Tickket still holds the funds (usually within 0-48 hours of purchase), we can process the refund directly to your bank account/card upon valid request or event cancellation.

After Settlement

Once funds have been settled to the Organizer (T+2 days), the **Organizer is solely responsible** for issuing refunds. Tickket acts only as a facilitator and cannot refund money we no longer hold.

3. "No Refund" Policy on Votes

Paid votes for contests are considered a **consumable service** (immediate delivery of support). Therefore, votes are non-refundable once cast, even if the contestant is disqualified or does not win.

4. Non-Refundable Fees

Please note that Platform Fees and Payment Processing Charges (e.g., Paystack fees) are non-refundable. When a refund is processed, you will receive the ticket face value, minus these administrative costs.

5. How to Request a Refund

Please contact the Event Organizer directly via their profile page. If they are unresponsive for more than 48 hours, you may escalate to support@tickket.app for mediation.
